Wimbledon will follow the American and Australian Opens in employing video review technology.
Replay technology will be launched at The Championships this year.
Players will gain the right to question particular rulings from the official, following the protocol already in use at each of the US Open and the Aussie major.
This innovation will be accessible on Centre Court and Court One for the duration of the Championships and on the other four featured courts when they are staging singles matches.
This step comes just a year after the All England Club implemented electronic line calling, which effectively ended the 147-year role of line judges.
Players cannot to challenge the call of the ELC system, but they can ask for the umpire to review other situations, such as:
Notably, there will be an unlimited number on the number of challenges a player can request.
An illustrative example occurred in Indian Wells recently, where Daniil Medvedev used the video challenge against Jack Draper.
Draper conceded it was a difficult call for the official, but thought his opponent had "used the regulations quite well."
Official Aurelie Tourte watched a video and determined Draper was guilty of interference, granting the rally to Medvedev.
This technology aren't exclusive to major tournaments. It has been in use at the American major for two years and the Australian Open this year.
Furthermore, it is increasingly prevalent on the WTA circuit, and by next season the ATP circuit will have the system implemented at all of its events.
A further change at The Championships this year involves the addition of graphical cues on scoreboards to support the audio calls from the ELC system.
This solves situations where the crowd have sometimes been unsure if a ball was out or in.
Finally, with precisely a century of days remaining until the start of the Championships, the AELTC have also revealed an increase in daily capacity at the qualifying competition in the qualifying venue.
